Teresa Curran
Teresa has over twenty years experience in senior positions,
including experience working in Asia. Currently, she is responsible
for the Financial Institutions Supervision Group at the Federal
Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this capacity, she oversees the
supervision of all financial institutions supervised by the Federal
Reserve in the 12th District. She also is responsible for the
Division's Asia program, including oversight of the 2007 series of
events under the heading "Asian Financial Crisis Revisited:
Challenges over the Next Decade."
Ms. Curran joined the Reserve Bank in 1995 as Asia Regional
Manager with responsibility for establishing the Asian Country
Analysis Unit. In 1998, she assumed additional responsibility for
coordinating the supervision of over thirty Asian financial
institutions operating in the United States; in 2000, she took on
additional responsibility for managing teams implementing risk
monitoring and application activities, and identifying and providing
guidance on key banking policy issues, trends and risks.
Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Ms. Curran served with the
U.S. Executive Director at the Asian Development Bank in the
Philippines, and as an international economist at the Department of
the Treasury. She has experience in strategic planning, project
management, coaching and development, and process facilitation. She
is a graduate of Pomona College (BA) and Harvard University (MPP),
and has a MBA Certificate from U.C. Berkeley Extension Program.
