The Financial Women's Association Of San Francisco
presents

An Industry Leadership Series Event:

"Overcoming Obstacles: Women Trailblazers in Entrepreneurship"

A veteran entrepreneur will attest that getting a business up and running is fraught with challenges. Coming up with a unique idea is not enough – developing strategy, procuring funding, cultivating a stellar team, and securing a competitive advantage are all essential steps to building a successful company. Join us on Thursday, April 17th in San Francisco for a panel discussion bringing you the perspectives of four women entrepreneurs in a diverse set of industries who will offer a unique take on overcoming obstacles, breaking stereotypes, and engendering respect as women business founders.

Panel Participants

- Speaker / Moderator -

Denise Brosseau - Co-Founder & President, Invent Your Future
www.inventyourfuture.com
Denise Brosseau is the co-founder and President of Invent Your Future Enterprises (IYF), a professional development company accelerating the success of the next generation of women leaders. IYF offers leadership conferences and events for entrepreneurs and corporate women as well as leadership development programs, mentor-matching software, business simulation games, and skill-building toolkits for corporations. Their clients include Symantec, Genentech & Cisco.

A serial entrepreneur, Denise founded her first company - a computer training business - at the age of 28. A Wellesley graduate with a Stanford MBA, she also served as the founding CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (now FWE&E) from 1993-2002, building the organization into the leading trade association for women-founded and led businesses in the United States. During that time, she co-founded the highly successful venture conference series for women entrepreneurs, Springboard Venture Forums. Participants in the Springboard events have secured over $3.7B in funding for their businesses. She continues to serve as an adviser to both organizations.

Denise spent the early part of her career in the high-tech industry at companies like Broderbund Software and Motorola. Just prior to founding Invent Your Future, Denise led a strategic consulting practice for five years, where she served start-ups, corporations, and non-profits. She is a frequent speaker at industry and women's conferences, including at this year's Professional Business Women of California event and at the Conference Board's Women's Leadership Forum.
